Li Bai's strangest poem

"Wuqiqu" is also based on the old inscriptions of the ancient Yuefu, but Li Bai boldly changed its form and deliberately omitted a sentence, which is unprecedented:

Wuqiqu

Tang Libai

At sunset, the outline of Wu Palace and the beauty of the palace on Suzhou platform are hazy.

Rouwu, Zhu Tuo and Wu Wang were still enjoying the excitement, but suddenly they found that the mountain peak in the west had swallowed up half of the red sun, and dusk was coming.

The pleasure of the king of Wu and his attendants gradually came to an end.

There are more and more water leaks, and the scale of silver arrows is getting bigger and bigger. A bright moon flies across the sky, and it is near dawn.

As soon as the crows on the Gusu stage returned to their nests, the feast of stone began in the palace of Wu.

Before the songs of Chu at the banquet were finished, the sun had set.

The water in the golden pot has been dripping all night, and the feast on King Wu Mountain is not over yet. The prince got up and looked at the autumn moon that was about to fall into the river.

It's almost dawn. I still think it's dawn, but I can't help it!

Creation background

It is said that when Li Baichu visited He, He praised Li Bai's poems and called them "fallen immortals". Only when he read this "Wuqi Qu" did he repeatedly praise "this poem makes the gods cry". That's why Du Fu later praised Li Bai for saying, "Putting pen to paper shakes the wind and rain, poetry makes ghosts cry"!

This song "Wuqi Qu" is about the song and dance enjoyment of Fu Cha, the king of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period. The first two sentences describe Heshi's drunken and lewd life in the sunset palace.

Then, "Wu Ge Chu Dance is Unfinished" seems that the euphoria of singing and dancing is still at its climax, and "Castle Peak holds up half the sky" is already dusk arrival. This sentence "Castle Peak holds up half the sky" not only implicitly points out that the meaning of the prince of Wu is still unfinished, but also seems to imply the decline of the times and is approaching its peak and decline!
