2. Classical poetry
Classical poetry is a kind of poetic style compared with modern poetry, which mainly refers to those poems before the Tang Dynasty that did not limit the number of sentences, did not seek confrontation, did not talk much about flat and even words, and used rhyme relatively freely. Classical poetry, also known as ancient poetry and ancient style. According to the number of words in each sentence, it can be divided into four words, five words, six words, seven words, essays and other genres.

Ci, as a poetic genre, belongs to a verse form of poetry. Developed from five-character poems, seven-character poems or folk songs, it began in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Song Dynasty. Ci is originally a poetic style that is sung by music. Because the length of a sentence varies with the tune of the song, it is also called long and short sentences.
According to the number of words, the words are divided into minor (within 58 words), alto (59-90 words) and major (above 9 1 word). Characters are generally divided into two parts, also known as "chess pieces".

Metric poems, usually 8 sentences each. More than 8 sentences are called exclusive law or long law. There are strict formats and rules for the writing of metrical poems, and there are strict regulations on the number of words, lines, sentence patterns and phonology.
The number of words in a metrical poem is uniform, and each sentence is five or seven words, which are called five-word metrical poem and seven-word metrical poem respectively. The five laws stipulate that every sentence has five words, and the first word is forty words; The seven laws stipulate that each sentence has seven words and the whole sentence has fifty-six words. There are also six-character sentences, all of which begin with 48 characters. They are called six-character poems, and there are few handed down works.
As far as every eight rhymes are concerned, every two rhymes are quadrupled. It is customary to call the first couplet a title-breaking couplet, the second couplet a parallelism couplet, the third couplet a neck couplet and the fourth couplet a sentence-ending couplet. Among them, the habit of two or three combinations (that is, parallel connection and neck connection) is antithesis.
Except for the first pair and the second pair, the couplet in the middle must be a couplet. In rhyming, rhyming requires the whole poem to rhyme, usually flat and even rhymes; The second, fourth, sixth and eighth sentences rhyme, and the first sentence can be taken or not.
5. quatrains
Quatrains, also called truncated sentences, punctuated sentences and quatrains (eight sentences are divided into two), are short and pithy.
There are two types of quatrains: quatrains and archaic styles. Rhythm only needs to be refined after the rise of rhythmic poetry. Ancient times existed long before the appearance of metrical poems.
Rhyme, like metrical poetry, emphasizes persistence and rhyme according to the level tone of metrical sentences. Quatrains are divided into five-character quatrains and seven-character quatrains according to the number of words. Most of them are five-character quatrains.
