Qingyunge Lyrics

1. Lyrics of "Song of Qingyun":

The clouds in Qingyun are so rotten and solitary.

The sun and the moon are shining brightly.

It is bright and clear in the sky, but the stars are shining brightly.

The brilliance of the sun and moon shines brightly on one person.

The sun and the moon are consistent, and the stars are consistent.

The four seasons follow the scriptures, and the surname is Yuncheng.

I discuss music with you and match the spirit of heaven.

Everyone who moves to a sage will listen to you.

_It’s like drumming, it’s like dancing.

The essence has been exhausted, and the clothes are gone.

2. "Qing Yun Ge" is a poem from ancient times, which was first seen in "Shang Shu Da Zhuan". Legend has it that when Emperor Shun, who retired after his success, gave his Zen throne to Dayu, who had accomplished great feats in flood control, hundreds of officials and Emperor Shun sang "Qingyun Song" together. The whole poem is composed of three parts: the first four lines are a song of praise for Emperor Shun; the middle four lines are a song of harmony among the officials; the last twelve lines are a song of continued praise of Emperor Shun. The poem depicts an image of the Qingming Dynasty with good government and people, and expresses the ancient ancestors' admiration for virtue and the political ideal of saints governing the country. The whole poem uses the form of "ode", which is in line with the performance characteristics of sacrificial odes. The language is simple, the sentences are simple, the rhythm is short, bright and smooth.
