Is poetry poetry?

Poetry is poetry, poetry is poetry. But why are there two words? Poetry is an old saying, because as we all know, most ancient languages are monosyllabic words, and there are few disyllabic words. Starting from Liu Xie in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the stylistic dichotomy of "poetry" and "prose" was put forward. In modern Chinese today, disyllabic words account for the vast majority, so add a word "Song" after "Poetry" to make a disyllabic word conform to people's speaking habits. And why did you add "Song"? Because in ancient China, poetry was used to sing, and poetry could be sung.
