Introduction of Xi 'an City Wall

Xi 'an City Wall, also known as Xi 'an Ming City Wall, is the largest and most intact ancient city wall in China. It is the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units and national AAAAA-level tourist attractions. An city wall in a broad sense includes an Tang city wall and an Ming city wall, but generally refers to an Ming city wall in a narrow sense. ?

Xi Anming City Wall is located in the central area of Xi, Shaanxi Province, with a height of 12m, a top width of 12- 14m and a bottom width of 15- 18m, which is a closed rectangle with a perimeter of13.74km. The famous Xi Bell and Drum Tower is located in the center of the ancient city.

Introduction to some gates of Xi 'an City Wall

1, Chaoyangmen: Located in the east section of Xi 'an City Wall, this facade faces the sun and is the first door to see the sun every day, hence the name Chaoyangmen.

2. Jianguomen: To commemorate the great historical event of the founding of New China, Jianguomen Road is the road in the city, and Jianguomen is the newly opened door.

3. Peace Gate: It is on the same north-south axis with Xi Railway Station and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It was opened by 1953. It was named the Gate of Peace to express the war-torn people of China's desire for world peace.

4. Wenchang Men Site site: Wenchang Men Site site in the south of Beilin Museum, opened at 1986.
