What are the broad and narrow definitions of literature?
This question is so professional that I almost read my book An Introduction to Literature = = 1. Three meanings of literary concepts 1. The concept of generalized literature; All verbal or written language acts and works are collectively referred to. That is, including all works written by language and writing activities. Literature in a broad sense is all works written by human beings in language, including both literature and other cultural forms besides literature. Literature is equated with culture here. 2. The concept of narrow literature; Language artistic behavior and its works, including emotion, fiction, imagination and other comprehensive factors. Especially poetry, prose, novels, reportage, etc. It is both linguistic and artistic. Political papers in generalized literature are not included, and they are also called "the art of beauty" with music, drama and painting. 3. The concept of eclectic literature: the general term for oral or written language works that are between the first two but difficult to classify, such as hundred schools of thought's essays, historical biography literature and modern essays. It has some characteristics of chivalrous literature, but it goes beyond the scope of chivalrous literature, and also has some characteristics of generalized literature, such as historical records. These three literary meanings lead to three literary concepts: culture, aesthetics and custom.
