What does a sigh of the lungs of the earth mean?

This poem is taken from Syrian poet adonis's poem A Guide to Traveling in a Meaningful Jungle. It personifies the earth by personification and metaphor, and compares the dust to a sigh from the lungs of the earth. This description is vivid. Because dust really rises from the earth, it seems to be an insignificant abandoned thing, which contains sadness.
