It is said that Wu Zhibiao is not only a good friend of Li Bai, but also his future brother-in-law. Li Bai has a sister named Li, who is two years younger than Li Bai, but as clever as Li Bai. Brothers and sisters often read books together and compare poems. Li's sweetheart at that time was Wu Guide, and Li Bai was going to take Wu Guide out of Shu to see the outside world.
So two talented young people, friends and confidants, went down the river together, enjoying the beautiful scenery and talking about their dreams. Li Bai naturally left his poems when he walked. From the Three Gorges to Badong, he wrote "Boating from Badong to Climb the Peak of Wushan at Night and Return to the Wall through Qutang Gorge" and "Love under Wushan", and left poems such as "Jingmen looking straight at the Shu River", "Jingmen Ferry Farewell" and "Song of Jingzhou" in Hubei.
At this time, Li Bai really left his hometown of Bashu and saw the different scenery in front of him. While lamenting the unique scenery, he is also reluctant to part with his hometown. He can only express his feelings through poetry, leaving a very valuable cultural wealth for our descendants, especially seeing friends off at Jingmen Ferry, which became a well-known swan song.
Farewell through Jingmen
Sail from Jingmen Ferry, and soon you will be with southerners.
At the end of the mountain range and the beginning of the plain, the river winds through the wilderness.
The moon rises like a mirror, and the sea clouds twinkle like palaces.
The water brings you the feeling of home and makes your boat travel 300 miles.
