The Tang Dynasty (AD 6 18-907) was the heyday of the development of classical poetry in China. Tang poetry is one of China's outstanding literary heritages and a bright pearl in the treasure house of world literature. Poetry in the Tang Dynasty can be divided into the early period-the first year of Emperor Gaozu's Wude-the four-year heyday of Chang 'an, Wuhou-the first year of Zhongzong Shenlong-the middle of five years of Daizong Dali-the late period of Wenzong Taihe: the end of Wenzong Taihe-the demise of the Tang Dynasty.
