The book title number is a symbol that marks the title of a book, chapter, drama, song, newspaper, magazine, legal document, etc. Described below.
1. Indicate the title of the book. For example:
1. At that time, Lu Xun was studying and practicing calligraphy there, and sometimes he also painted, covering novels such as "Journey to the West" with paper to depict portraits.
(Primary School "Chinese" Volume 7 "Sanwei Bookstore")
2. It took him 27 years to finally compile a new medicine book, which is the famous "Compendium of Materia Medica".
("Li Shizhen", Volume 6 of Primary School "Chinese Language")
"Journey to the West" is a famous classic in my country, and "Compendium of Materia Medica" is a famous medicine book in ancient my country. They are identified by book title numbers.
2. Indicate the title of the article. Single article titles such as poems, prose, fables, etc. should be marked with book titles to avoid confusion with other words. For example:
3. Recite these three poems with emotion. He silently wrote "Ode to the Dusk River" and "Gift to Wang Lun".
(Thinking and practice of "Three Ancient Poems" in Volume 11 of Primary School "Chinese")
In Example 3, the book titles indicate two poems. Another example:
4. What did the sheep farmer in "Mending the Neighbors" think at first when he gave advice to his neighbors?...
Use your own words to explain the meaning of the two idioms "to hide your ears and steal the bell" and "to mend the situation after the sheep have gone".
(Thinking and practicing on "Two Fables" in Volume 6 of "Chinese Language" for Primary Schools)
The first "Mending the Wind" in Example 4 is a fable, marked with the title of the book. The second "repairing the situation" is an idiom, using quotation marks instead of book title numbers.
3. Mark the name of the newspaper. For example:
5. Also, I think you read the article "About Children" in "Women's Life", right?
("Letter to Yan Limin", Volume 10, of Primary School "Chinese Language")< /p>
"Women's Life" is the name of the magazine, and "About Children" is an article, both marked with book titles.
4. Mark the names of artistic works such as dramas, movies, fine arts, and music. For example:
6. When I spread out the second piece of drawing paper, I decided to draw a picture of "Little Martial Arts".
(Primary School "Chinese" Volume 12 "Basic Training 1")
7. Aren't Mr. Rodin's sculptures of "The Thinker" and "Balzac" as immortal as the marbles used to sculpt them?
(Compulsory Education Junior High School "Chinese" Volume 4 "Two Essays" 》)
The book titles in these two examples indicate two kinds of art works, one is a painting-"Little Martial Arts", and the other is a sculpture-"The Thinker" and "Balzac". For example, "Moonlight Song" mentioned in the twelfth volume textbook of primary school is a tune, and "Let's Swing the Oars" is a song. "The Slave Hero" in the eleventh textbook is a play. When we use these works of art in written language, we must indicate them with book titles.
5. Mark the names of laws and regulations. For example:
8. "You don't know, young man, our country's newly promulgated "Law on the Protection of Disabled Persons" stipulates that disabled people can ride for free."
(Primary School "Chinese" Volume 11 "Basic Training" 6》)
Example 8 "Law on the Protection of Disabled Persons" is a regulation, which is marked with the title of the book.
There are two special phenomena in the use of book title numbers. One is that the book title contains the title of the book, and the other is that the book title and chapter title use the same book title number. For example:
9. The following "Reflections on Reading "Gujing"" uses the second writing method.
(Primary school "Chinese" Volume 11 "Basic Training 4")
10. What I think about all day long is not as good as what I learned in just a moment.
"Xunzi Encouraging Learning"
("Famous Quotes from All Schools of Thought", page 534, Guangxi People's Publishing House, 1992 edition)
Example 9 "Ancient Well" "After Reading" is a composition title, so it is marked with a book title, and the composition title contains the title of the text "Gujing". In order to avoid confusion, it is marked with a single book title. Whenever there is a book title within a book title, use a double title number for the outer one and a single title number for the inner one. The symbol "Xunzi Encouraging Learning" in Example 10 tells us that "I think about it all day long, and it is not as good as what I learned in just a moment." It comes from the chapter "Encouraging Learning" in the book "Xunzi". When writing, add a dot (called a spacer) between the title of the book and the title of the chapter in the book.
The book title number is a kind of label. It is like a hat that is attached to the specific text, and the text becomes the title of the book or chapter. For example:
11. (1)Xiao Ming brings the sword over.
(2) Xiao Ming brought the "Sword" over.
Example 11 ①② has the same text, both have the word "sword". The first "sword" is a weapon, but the second one is a book because it has a book title.
In use, the book title number occupies one character each. The first half of the book title number cannot be written alone at the end of a line, and the second half of the book title number cannot be written independently at the beginning of a line.
A song with book title and number:
Book title number, curved forward and backward,
marks books and newspapers.
The title of the article and the title of the song can also be used,
marked clearly for easy reading.
