The Qinling Mountains are our home. As a high school student, it is my responsibility to protect the Qinling Mountains. I always have the concept in my mind that clear waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. It is all things in the Great Qinling Mountains that nourish us, so we must do our best to protect it and fight against those who destroy the ecology of the Qinling Mountains.
? The Qinling Mountains lie across central my country, stretching 1,500 kilometers from east to west, 100 to 150 kilometers wide from north to south, and with an altitude of 1,500 to 2,500 meters. The Qinling Mountains are an important watershed between the Yellow River system and the Yangtze River system. To the north is the fertile Guanzhong Plain and to the south is the narrow Han River Valley. The Qinling Mountains are the most important ecological barrier in central my country and the natural dividing line between the five natural geographical elements of north and south my country: geology, climate, biology, water system, and soil.
The flora and animal species in the Qinling Mountains are obviously transitional, mixed and complex. Among the wild animals there are rare species such as giant pandas, golden monkeys, and takin; among the birds are the crested ibis and black stork, which are national first-level protected objects. The Qinling Mountains now have national-level "Taibai Mountain Nature Reserve" and "Foping Nature Reserve." Among them, the giant panda, golden monkey, takin and crested ibis are collectively known as the "Four Treasures of the Qinling Mountains". The forests are mainly "warm temperate coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest" and "deciduous broad-leaved forest". Walnuts from Shangluo area and angelica from Minxian County are both famous for their high yield and high quality. There are beautiful peaks such as Cuihua Mountain, Nanwutai Mountain, and Malishan Mountain near the Qinling Mountains. There are more than 40 large and small temples such as Taiyi Palace and Laojun Temple built since the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the mountains. It is a good place to visit and escape the summer heat in Guanzhong.
The Qinling Mountains have abundant rainfall and sufficient water. The Wei River in the north of the Qinling Mountains is the largest first-level tributary of the Yellow River; the Han River in the south is the largest first-level tributary of the Yangtze River. Because people cut down trees indiscriminately, large areas of forest have been reduced, and soil erosion has been serious, which has also affected our mother river.
The Yellow River has become the cradle of our nation’s growth. The Yellow River gave birth to us and provided us with such a superior living environment. Instead of being grateful to the mother river, people destroyed it. Due to the rapid increase in population, the massive development of resources, and the uncontrolled use of scientific and technological means, a large amount of chemicals are discharged into the Yellow River, causing a large number of fish deaths, soil erosion and other problems. Due to the pollution of the Yellow River, one can only use a jingle to describe the pollution situation in the Yellow River Basin: "In the 1950s, rice was washed and vegetables washed; in the 1960s, laundry was irrigated; in the 1970s, the water quality deteriorated; in the 1980s, fish and shrimp became extinct; in the 1990s, humans and animals were harmed. "Don't let the Yellow River cry anymore, let us protect it!
Protect the Qinling Mountains, protect the Yellow River, make the ecological environment more beautiful, and make our home more beautiful. In order to make the Qinling Mountains more green and the Mother River to have more flowing water, let us take action to protect the Qinling Mountains and our beautiful homeland.
The Qinling Mountains are a precious gift given to Xi'an by nature. For thousands of years, they have not only provided us with sweet water sources and left many stories, but also freely reproduced human friends - wild animals. . "Keeping the Qinling Mountains green and protecting the long-flowing waters of the Eight Rivers" is the common hope and best wish of the people of Xi'an to jointly build a beautiful home with blue sky, green land and clean water. Maintaining the ecology of the Qinling Mountains and protecting the environment of the Qinling Mountains is the unshirkable responsibility of every citizen of Xi'an, and it is also the obligation and responsibility of every citizen.

Traveling across thousands of rivers and mountains, we leave only a series of footprints; let us start from ourselves and from now on, firmly establish the concept of ecological civilization and scientific development, and jointly create a civilized tourism environment that emphasizes civilization, etiquette, and image building, and ensure The Qinling Mountains are green and protect the eight rivers!
