In 1965, works were selected by the Calligraphy and Engraving Association to participate in the "Chinese Modern Calligraphy Exhibition".
In 1972, Du Mu's "Mountain Journey" in running script was published in "People's China".
In 1974, "Selected Poems of Lu Xun" was published in running script.
In 1975, he entered the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy and engaged in calligraphy creation.
In 1980, he went to Japan for a visit and exchange at the invitation of Hokuriku Shodoin.
In 1981, he participated in the first Congress of the Chinese Calligraphers Association held in Beijing and was elected as a director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association.
In 1986, he won the first Literary and Art Award of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles. The regular script copybook of "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" was published by Heilongjiang People's Publishing House.
In 1988, "Zhou Huijun's Ancient Patriotic Poems and Calligraphy Copybook" was published by Shanghai Painting and Calligraphy Publishing House.
In 1989, he served as a judge of the Fourth National Calligraphy Exhibition.
In 1991, he went to Shenzhen and jointly held a calligraphy exhibition with Zhang Chengzhi.
In 1994, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of sister cities between Shanghai and Osaka, he participated in the Shanghai calligrapher delegation’s visit to Osaka and calligraphy exchange.
In 1995, he was elected as a representative of the Sixth National Literary Congress.
In 1996, he went to the United States to participate in a calligraphy and painting exhibition held at the East-West Gallery in San Francisco.
In 2004, he was re-elected as Chairman of Shanghai Calligraphers Association and Vice Chairman of Chinese Calligraphers Association.
