In the second year of Tang Wude (6 19), Liang divided Dongzhen into Yuanling County and built Luxi County, named after Lushui, a section of five-water export, and Lushan was north of Lushui.
In the tenth year of Liang Xiaoyan in the Southern and Northern Dynasties (565,438+065,438+0), the intersection of Luzhou, Shui Yuan and Wushui was established, which was located in the northeast suburb of Wuxi Town and governed Nanyang County.

In the sixth year of Qing Shunzhi (1649), luxi county was changed to luxi county, which is still in use today. In Qing Dynasty, Luxi County was the state capital of Yongjing Road, Chen Yuan, Hunan.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Chen Yuan Road, Hunan Province, and in the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to the ninth administrative supervision area of Hunan Province.

1952 belongs to Xiangxi Miao Autonomous Prefecture (1957 changed to Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture) and has not been changed so far.
On June 27th, 20001year, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved the luxi county Municipal People's Government to move from Wuxi Town to Baisha Town.
