What is the difference between reception aesthetics and translation aesthetics?

Reception aesthetics is a theory with modern consciousness, which expands aesthetic interpretation. Recognize the reading ability and rights of every reader. It summarizes the aesthetic experience of human beings from a new angle, that is, from the perspective of readers who were neglected before. The value and significance of a work depends on the reader's understanding and interpretation, and the reader's participation makes a text a real work. Therefore, the reader-centered reception aesthetic translation view emphasizes the openness of the text and the uniqueness of interpretation, the translator's subjective position as a reader in the translation process, and the reference position of the target readers. It is believed that translation should consider the response effect of the target readers, and it is proposed that translation is a dialogue between the text and the translator and a fusion of horizons. These viewpoints provide a new perspective for translation, especially literary translation studies. While acknowledging that reception aesthetics theory is enlightening and valuable to translation, we should also face up to its limitations, for example, it denies the objective basis and standards of translation criticism and understanding to some extent.
