"Beauty's Journey" is a work by the great poet Du Fu. It was written in about 753 (the twelfth year of Tianbao) or the following year. The main purpose of the poem is to criticize and chastise the arrogance of Yang Guifei's brothers and sisters. Since Empress Wu in the Tang Dynasty, it has become a common phenomenon among the ruling class for foreign relatives to exercise power. They formed a special interest group and aroused strong dissatisfaction among the people. This was also the main reason for the Anshi Rebellion. Before Bai Juyi's "Song of Everlasting Sorrow", there were many poems based on the Yang brothers and sisters, but none of them were as profound as Du Fu's. The whole poem only describes the living conditions of "beauties", but as the predecessors said, it achieves the goal of "no sarcastic words, no sarcastic words in the description; no sighs, only sighs in the funny words" artistic effect.
