In 1801, in order to match Byron's aristocratic status and identity, the family decided to send him to a prestigious school - Harrow School. This school, founded by John Lean in 1571, has trained many well-known figures in British history. Among them, Prime Minister Churchill, who admired Byron very much, graduated from this school.
This year, Byron was 13 years old.
Joseph Drury, the then principal of Harrow School, received this talented, handsome, aristocratic boy with a disabled leg in his study. After talking, the principal immediately discovered: "What was handed over to me was a little pony that had been used to being wild in the mountains. However, it can be seen from his eyes that he is thoughtful."
In Ha During the days of Luo Gong School, Byron did not work hard on formal classroom learning as always, but at the critical moment, he could write thirty or forty Latin hexameter lines with a stroke of his pen; he had no interest in textbooks. Although he is very interested, he is enthusiastic about extracurricular reading and has read a lot of books, thus gaining a wealth of knowledge. "Lazy and erudite" was his characteristic in middle school.
