Appreciation:
“Thousands of sails passed by the side of the sunken boat, and thousands of spring trees were in front of the diseased trees.” From Liu Yuxi’s "Rewarding the Lottery" in Yangzhou in the Mid-Tang Dynasty. In the poem "Gift". As can be seen from the title, this is a poem of reward and response.
This is a reward for the "Drunk Gift to Liu Twenty-eight Envoys" given to the author by Bai Juyi. In the gift poem, Bai Juyi was full of emotions about Liu Yuxi's experience, especially the last two sentences: "I also know that he has been ruined by his talents. Twenty-three years have been too much." On the one hand, he lamented Liu Yuxi's unfortunate fate, and on the other hand, he expressed his regret for Liu Yuxi's misfortune. Liu Yuxi's talent and fame were greatly appreciated, and he expressed his deep love and sympathy, as well as his extreme regret.
