China's poetics: 1989 China's poetics.

1989 China poetry circle was neither a high cliff nor a waterfall, nor was it like a small bridge flowing water, but it was just babbling. She is like a gurgling river, with its own inner grandeur and momentum. Looking back on the poetry circles in China from 1989 to 10 years ago, we can see an obvious change: young and middle-aged poets are extremely active in today's poetry circles, while the older generation of poets are much quieter than 10 years ago, and we can't help but feel disconsolate.

During the period of 1989, an obvious trend in China's poetic circles was that many poetic schools and various "isms" that were surging in the past few years lost momentum or even disappeared in the sharp-edged contest of the same period. The "breathing faction" has suffocated; "coquettish school" suffers from supercilious look; The "ultra-low school" is favored by few people because of its grandstanding and self-mockery ... and so on. On the contrary, the poet conducted profound introspection, exploration and creation with a more serious attitude.

one

From 65438 to 0989, poetry has made great progress in keeping close to the times, life and expressing the poet's sincere feelings.

The aria "A Suitor" by the poet Tong (works 1989 10) has a strong spirit of the times and life flavor. Although the poet is in middle age, his poems are full of vigorous vitality and persistent pursuit. In this group of poems, the poet expressed his feelings:

I pursue the sincerity of poetry,

I pursue the sincerity of love,

I pursue the true meaning of life.

It's not for taking,

Just to understand.

Even if my pursuit

No reward,

Even if my hands are empty and my harvest is not good,

The original intention remains the same.

This persistent and unrepentant pursuit of spirit is embodied in poems and verses, which is a true portrayal of our whole national spirit. The poet Li Ying's Gobi Desert Sea (People's Literature) 1989 1 1 expresses his ardent feelings for the motherland with concise and vivid brushstrokes. Liu Yishan's The Great Plains (Poetry MagazineNo. 1989No. 10) is simple in language and full of tension, which depicts a vivid picture of the Great Plains. He Xianquan's "A Ballad Composed of Myths —— China's Aria on Population Issues" (Contemporary Poetry 1989 No.9) reminds us of the great troubles caused by super-life and super-education to our ancient and progressive nation in poetic language, and the poem is full of deep thinking about reality and deep concern for the future. Xiaomei's Xin Tian You (Star 1989 No.3) is simple and vivid, and exudes a sincere local flavor: "Sing Xin Tian You Hong Zi/the only woman in northern Shaanxi/a butterfly in Shandandan/a yellow wind in red sorghum/an old white rain in golden buckwheat/a bitter life." Deng's "Acting Alone" (Poetry1989101October 2 1) is full of surprises. The seemingly casual poems contain profound thoughts on life. Jing Xiaodong's Memories in the Moonlight (Star 1989, No.3) expresses his recollection and yearning for a better life through the description of ordinary life. Lu Ping's Wandering Tugboat (Poetry Magazine,No. 1989,No. 12) extends the tentacles of poetry to grassroots life, and it is kind and natural to read. The language of poetry is both original and speculative, leaving an unforgettable impression on people.

In recent years, military poets have been active. From 65438 to 0989, poems describing military life were further developed and perfected. Military poets Zhu Zengquan, Qu Yuan, Li Yun and others all wrote many excellent poems in this year.

With the further return of poetic realism and the further expansion of its influence, some poets, especially some young poets, are still stubbornly experimenting and exploring the artistic techniques of poetry. Zhou Yaping's self-selected experimental poems and Lu Jian's A Night's Journey are the representative concrete manifestations of this experimental exploration. I think, whether this kind of experiment and exploration is successful or not, whether it can win the recognition and praise of readers, as long as this kind of exploration is serious, serious and less utilitarian, it is commendable, and we should adopt a tolerant and supportive attitude.

Fortunately, 1989' s critical articles on avant-garde and experimental poetry are much more objective and prudent than those published in previous years, and irresponsible, mysterious and boastful critical articles are decreasing, which is conducive to the development of poetry and the healthy growth of poets.

two

No matter in what era, young people are the main creators and readers of poetry as a literary form. An old poet once said a quip about poetry. He said: There are three stars in the sky, one is youth, the other is love, and the other is poetry.

From 65438 to 0989, a group of influential young poets constantly created many excellent poems, and at the same time, many new poets emerged. The poems of young poet Li Qi are fresh and elegant, self-contained and full of idealism. Her First Sky (People's Literature 1989 1 1) still retains and further expands the previous style. Celie's Who's Outside the Window (Star, No.7, 1989) is kind and touching, which makes people feel relaxed and fascinated:

Listen to the drizzle in early autumn

I heard my hometown.

Father's leather shoes clattered in the mud.

When we read such a poem, we feel a self-evident poetic beauty. The ending of the poem Yue Fei Tomb (Qingfeng 1989, No.2) in Qu Jin's group poem Worry about the Holy Land is quite amazing. This group of poems expresses a deep sense of hardship with distinctive language. Peng Li, a young poet, is a promising young poet who has emerged in recent two years. His poems are concise and natural, with beautiful images. Black eyes (poet, 1989,1~12) can quite represent his poetry writing style: "I don't know why/I like melancholy black eyes/like a lonely deep pool/which once made my heart tremble//Lonely sails drift on the blue sea/Lonely geese mourn in the dusk." How many beautiful dreams I hold//I believe there is an immortal soul in the world/an autumn chrysanthemum is blooming by the river/is this my destination/when I return to my grandmother/it becomes an unconscious dream. " Ma Xinchao, a young poet, wrote a lot in 1989, and his poems naturally showed the flavor of the times. Poetry has a hazy beauty when expressing rich connotations. His group poem "Wandering Consciousness" (Dahe 1989 No.2) is the embodiment of this style. Although May's love poem (1989 No.6) in Shaanxi Province is a virgin's work, it is beautiful and free-spirited, with a soft artistic conception. This is a newcomer worthy of attention in the field of poetry.

1989, those striking young poets and rising stars in the poetry world are like shining stars, which makes it difficult to evaluate them one by one. In addition, there are Lu Di, LULU, Peng Guoliang, Lu Ping, Liang Mang, Zhang Guomin, Wang Changan, Peng Xiaomei, Yi Dianxuan, Yang, Yu Yaojiang, Zhou Hengping and Liu Xiquan.

Looking at 1989 young poets' poetry creation, we can roughly sum up several main basic characteristics: ① the trend of selective reference and criticism of western modernist poetry is growing, while the trend of blind imitation is weakening, which shows that the young poets' subjective consciousness is enhanced and their poetic concepts are mature; (2) It has greatly changed the bad tendency of replacing works with empty declarations and "ism" in previous years, and many poets realize that the poetry hall without solid life support is just a mirage illusion; (3) The steady exploration style has basically replaced the blindly unconventional and grandstanding, and the poetic atmosphere has been further rectified. ...

The above characteristics were initially revealed and developed in 1988, and basically formed the mainstream of youth poetry creation in 1989.

three

China's poetry circles from 65438 to 0989 developed slowly and steadily in a diversified situation. Although no remarkable achievements have been made in this period, the accumulation of art and rational thinking may be the preparation and prelude for a greater breakthrough in future poetry. ...

However, we should also see that there are still some unsatisfactory places in the poetry circle in supporting new poets. As far as I know, 1989, including the newcomers who have made their mark in the poetry circle in recent years, mostly live in large and medium-sized cities, especially big cities, while there are few newcomers in the poetry circle in small cities and remote areas. There are many talented people among a large number of poetry lovers in these places. There should be more equal competition in the field of poetry, and more attention and support should be given to talented poets living in remote areas.

Undoubtedly, we should support and encourage poets to explore innovative poetic techniques, but this kind of innovation and exploration is by no means rambling, and it should never become a mysterious and incredible thing that obsesses or scares ordinary people to express themselves. A young poet published a poem entitled "Where is the horse?" In the seventh issue of the Star 1989. If the poem written by 1 1: 54 can also be regarded as an exploration, then the significance of this exploration is doubtful. Because the original poem is long, we only quote the first part: "Horse/Red Horse/Green Horse/Red Horse/Mud Horse/Copper Horse/Iron Horse/Golden Horse/Trojan Horse/Green Horse/Plastic Horse/Real Horse/Horse/..." If we hide the author's name, it is probably not an exercise written by a primary school student for fun. Even considering that the author is an influential young poet, it seems far-fetched to give this poem special meaning.

Without a solid foundation of life, simple "poetry exploration" is often a dead end!

Confusion about the present situation and future direction of poetry is a problem that often haunts people's minds. Fortunately, China's opening up and economic reform have entered a new stage. The fiery life provides a rich source of creation for poets. We firmly believe that there will be more new people and more excellent works in the poetry circle.
