Yes, because what the Lord gave us is good! Let's look at the suffering God has given us:
First, the role of suffering.
1, saving people's suffering
The baby will cry when he is born, and the doctor will fight if he doesn't cry. Why did you hit him? Because beating will make you cry, crying will make you breathe, and your lungs will expand, so that your baby's life can be saved. Therefore, it is not cruel for a doctor to beat a baby who won't cry at birth, but to save his life. The Lord made us suffer in order to save our spiritual life and let our spiritual lungs expand and breathe.
The Lord said, "When you were prosperous, I spoke to you, but you said, I wouldn't listen." (Jeremiah 22:2 1) Many people don't listen to the Lord when they are prosperous, but only listen when they are suffering. We can recall that when we believe in the Lord, or when our parents believe in the Lord, do we believe in peace, happiness, status, reputation and wealth? Or did you believe it when you were suffering?
If the Israelis were not persecuted in Egypt, no one could take them out of Egypt. Only when suffering persecuted them did they want to leave Egypt and return to Canaan. The prodigal son will not suffer from natural and man-made disasters, but will suffer from great famine; No one can persuade the prodigal son to go home unless he is poor.
2. The suffering that makes people grow up.
The Lord urges us to believe in him in suffering, and also makes our spiritual life grow in suffering. Deuteronomy 32: 1 1 says, "Like an eagle stirring its nest, it spreads its wings over the young eagle and takes the young eagle with its wings." This is the way the mother eagle teaches her young to fly. Is to stir the nest, make it uncomfortable, make the young eagle have to leave, and let the young eagle learn to fly. When the young eagle is unable to fall, the mother eagle opens her wings to pick up the young eagle and carry it on her wings. This is how God treats us. He stirred our comfortable nest, pushed us out, and forced us to use our wings, that is, trust and obedience, so that our spiritual life could grow. On the one hand, God made me suffer, on the other hand, he kept us. 1 Peter 5: 10 says, "God, who gives all kinds of grace, called you in Christ to enjoy his eternal glory. After you have suffered for a period of time, he will personally improve you, strengthen you and give you strength. " God makes our spiritual life grow in misery, just as flowers and trees grow in the sun. After suffering, Job said, "I have heard of you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes." Suffering is like an angel that brings us closer to the Lord. The poet said: "I lost my way in the face of suffering;" Now I abide by your words. It is good for me to suffer, so that I may learn your statutes. " (Ps。 119: 67,71) "Look, I have suffered a lot for my safety. "(Sai 38: 17)
3, people bear bitter fruit
The Lord Jesus said, "I am a real vine, and my father is a grower." He cut off all the branches that belong to me, and they didn't bear fruit; Everyone who bears fruit will be pruned so that the branches will bear more fruit. (about 15: 1-2) The Lord does not repair the branches that bear fruit, but the branches that bear fruit, because if he bears more fruits.
4. Go through the hardships of tempering
Diamond once said to the grinding wheel that carved it, "I'm really unlucky. I was tempered by you for three days." The grinding wheel replied, "Don't say that. When you first left my wheel, you were a rough stone. After my carving and tempering, now you have become a beautiful diamond. " The Lord tempered us through suffering and made us people after his own heart. Job said, "After he tried me, I was like pure gold." (Job 23: 10) Paul said, "Wash the church with water and sanctify it." (Ephesians 5:26) Water refers to suffering. The Lord cleanses us with suffering and sanctifies us. This is the baptism of fire.
We see precious porcelain with beautiful pictures or words on it, which will never fade. Because after many times of heat, this refers to suffering. God burns us through suffering, making us people after the Lord's heart, and giving us a beautiful spirit to appreciate and love.
Step 5 share weal and woe with the Lord
David said, "The righteous man has many sufferings, but the Lord delivers him from all these." (Ps。 34: 19) Why do upright people suffer? Because the Lord created the righteous with suffering. The suffering of the righteous is suffering from creation, from grace, not from punishment. Although there is suffering, the main thing is to save him from all this.
The Lord said, "I will be with him in his trouble. I will save him and make him respectable. " (Ps。 On that day, Yue Se was sold into slavery and wrongly imprisoned. The Lord was with him, saved him, respected him and made him the prime minister of Egypt. Peter said, "If your faith is tested, it will be more precious than gold that can rot after being tested by fire. When Jesus Christ appears, you will be praised, honored and glorified." (Peter 1. 1:7) Although we can't get glory in the world, we can get it when the Lord comes again.
David said, "I was in trouble, and you made me suddenly enlightened." (Ps。 The Lord has broadened Yue Se's heart with suffering. Yue Se used to enjoy his father's favor in his father's home. He could not understand and sympathize with the grief of life. After suffering, he will sympathize with those who suffer. Paul said, "He comforted us in all our troubles, so that we could comfort those who suffered from all kinds of troubles with the comfort given by God." (After forest 1:4)
6, the pain of winning the championship
Jacob said, "blessed are those who endure temptation;" Because after his trial, he will get the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him. " "My brothers! When you are caught in various trials, you should feel great joy. " (jas.1:12,2) Why do you think it is a great joy to be caught in various trials? Because there is a crown of life to give us!
7. The pain of learning to obey
The life of the Lord Jesus in the world is always in danger, but it is full of peace, so the cross still says to his disciples, "I will leave you peace, and I will give you my peace." (John 14:27) The Lord Jesus said in his trouble, "Father! Yes, because your good intentions are like this. " (Matt. 1 1:26) When he was in trouble, his disciples scattered; Even Peter denied him; Judas betrayed him; The crowd shouted that he should be crucified. He never complains in that embattled environment. "Although he is a son, he learned to obey because of suffering." (Hebrews 5:8) This is the attitude of the Lord Jesus towards suffering, and it is also the attitude we Christians should have towards suffering.
Second, rely on the Lord to overcome suffering.
Martin Luther said, "When suffering comes, be calm and quiet, and don't publicize your sadness everywhere.". Trust the Lord and entrust it to him, and he will certainly help. " The more you talk about your pain and sorrow, the more you lose strength. He who is in the love of the Lord suffers and does not suffer, because he hides in the Lord. The Lord Jesus said, "You have sufferings in the world, but I have peace in me, so that the devil can no longer use sufferings to attack.".
Third, the correct use of suffering.
"Looking at Jesus, he established and completed our faith; Because of the joy in front of him, he despised humiliation and endured the suffering of the cross, sitting at the right hand of God's throne. Think of those who endure such contradictions from sinners, so as not to be tired and discouraged. " (Lai 12:2-3)
Suffering is like a kitchen knife, which can be used to cut vegetables or kill people, depending on how you handle it. Are you holding a blade or a handle? If you pick up the blade, you will be cut; Grab the handle and you can control it. When suffering comes, you only look at suffering, not at the God behind it. Just looking at suffering is grasping the blade, and as a result, you are hurt by suffering; In the face of suffering, you don't look at suffering, but at the God behind it. This is grasping the handle and doing things with a knife. Suffering can be used as a ladder for spiritual growth. We don't passively endure suffering, but actively turn suffering into victory. When a grain of sand enters the mussel's body, it is very painful, but it keeps putting endocrine on the wound and soon a pearl appears. Our sufferings can also be turned into blessings. As the saying goes, "fire and water are ruthless", floods and fires are terrible, but if people make good use of them, fire and water will become a great help to people's daily life.
Fourth, sing in suffering.
Job said, "He makes people sing at night." (Job 35: 10) Night is a time of darkness, so night refers to suffering. The Lord makes those who trust in him sing in their sufferings, just as Paul and Silas sang in prison. Why do you sing in trouble? Psalm 23 says, "Although I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I am not afraid of evil, because you are with me, and your rod and staff comfort me." Because of the peace and joy of the Lord, I can sing. God lets us sing at night. In the future, there will only be singing at home, and there will be no night. "The door will never close during the day; There is no night there. " "God will wipe away all their tears; There will be no more death, no more sadness, crying and pain, because the past has passed. " (Revision 21:25,4)
Five, the Lord will clear the way.
When the Israelites had no way to go in front of the Red Sea, and there were no steps to turn back, "the Lord used a strong east wind to make the sea recede overnight; Water will separate and the sea will become dry land. " (for example. In the darkness, when we were suffering, and during our dark journey, God performed miracles for Israel. Although the future is boundless and there is no way out, the Lord is working in the dark to open a way out for us. At dawn, you will see that the water is gone, the difficulties are gone, and there is a dry road to lead you through safely in the most dangerous environment. The Israelites encountered great difficulties in the Red Sea, but they also saw what God had done.
Conclusion: Paul said, "The temptation you have encountered is unbearable." God is faithful and will not tempt you beyond your endurance; When you are tempted, always open a way out so that you can bear it. "(Lin Qian 1. 10: 13) Whenever we are in trouble, this Bible is our timely help. God is faithful and reliable, and will not cause us great suffering, but will open a way out for us. The Lord Jesus said, "you have suffering in the world;" But don't worry, I have won the world. "(about 16:33) We should conquer the suffering by conquering the Lord of the world. The word "rest assured" is precious. Rest assured is to fully accept the peace and salvation of the Lord and complete the will of the Lord on us. 4: 1-2).
Hallelujah!
