Who compiled Yuefu poems?
Guo Maoqian, a programmer in Yunzhou, Northern Song Dynasty, once joined the army in Facao, Henan. Since the Han and Wei Dynasties, there have been Yuefu poems and Yuefu names. During the reign of Emperor Huidi and Emperor Wudi of the Western Han Dynasty, the central government established the Yuefu Order. Apart from composing the poems of literati, the most important task of Yuefu Order is to collect poems from the people. Later, some literati also imitated folk poems to create Yuefu poems. These folk poems and literati Yuefu poems are both called Yuefu poems. Yuefu poetry is the essence of Chinese poetry, many of which are beautifully written and are the representatives of popular music at that time. Yuefu poems have been circulated for hundreds of years, but they have been lost in the Song Dynasty. In order to preserve this cultural essence, scholar Guo Maoqian compiled Yuefu Poems, which made great contributions to the preservation of Yuefu poems and provided rich research materials.
