Did Qin Shihuang compose poetry?

The only poem written by Qin Shihuang,

"Song of Luo Water"

(Qin) Ying Zheng

Luo The water of the river is green in color.

The temple was offering sacrifices to Daze, and suddenly it came to the south.

Luo Bin prays, and the color shines three times.

This poem comes from "Gu and Jin Yue Lu", which was compiled by Shi Zhijiang of Nanchen in the Northern and Southern Dynasties. This poem was written by Qin Shihuang when he offered sacrifices to Luoshui. It is a narrative poem, similar to the poems in the Book of Songs. It is mainly narrative and lyrical, not paying much attention to rhythm, and is simple and unpretentious.

Translation: What a wonderful river this is, it flows silently through the four seasons for thousands of years. Now, the rich and clear voice of the First Emperor has passed over the layers of palaces, across the surging Luoshui River, and floated among the coriander bushes on the banks of Heluo River. Then it stirred up the mountains and fields of Sanchuan County and resounded for thousands of years in later generations.
