In our impression, Wang Wei seems to be the hermit sitting in Wangchuan villa, sipping fragrant teas and listening to the monk playing the piano. In fact, Wang Wei also had the experience of leaving the fortress in his early years. The famous song "To the Fortress" was written on the way to the fortress. Wang Wei saw "the long river sets the yen and the desert smokes alone" on the road. Even such a peaceful person has a frontier dream, let alone others.
This great ambition of the poets in the Tang Dynasty has been embodied in literature, forming a magnificent style. You see, Yang Jiong once said, "Better be a centurion than a scholar". Later, Wang Changling's poems became more sonorous. He said: "Huangsha is dressed in golden armor, fought in hundreds of battles, never broke Loulan, and never returned." . Such vigorous poems are as numerous as desert yellow sand in Tang poetry. Li Bai said, "I am willing to behead and open the iron gate." Zhang Hu said: "If you send a message that the world will be famous, you must be famous in martial arts." Zhang Yue said, "If fame and disgrace count, you can directly repay Loulan."
This open weather disappeared in the late Tang Dynasty, just like an unsustainable cigarette. Zong Baihua said: poets in the late Tang Dynasty only indulged in women's arms and groaned. Therefore, the poems they wrote were all covered in rouge, saying, "I dreamed of Yangzhou for ten years and got the name of a brothel." "I know there are red beans in linglong dice."
The masters who came from the war years did not recognize the poetic style of the late Tang Dynasty. The country is at stake, and lives are ruined. How can a poet who shoulders the responsibility of his country and the world recite decadent songs? In fact, I think these masters are criticizing some contemporary poets rather than late Tang poets. These people don't care about politics at all, only know "roses" and "roses", chewing "smoke-like troubles" in the ivory tower.
In fact, we can't blame the late Tang poets for not caring about politics, but for being powerless. In the stormy and politically turbulent society, the poet felt his own insignificance and helplessness. Therefore, there are many words in the late Tang Dynasty, such as "remnant", "darkness", "zero", "chaos", "gone with the wind" and "defeat". Zhang Zeng said: Late Tang poets seem to be more interested in residual flowers than the previous generation.
From another point of view, the poets in the late Tang Dynasty had a more detailed emotional experience and opened up a new way to express their feelings. The most typical example is Li Shangyin's Jinse.
