What kind of emotion does the poem Looking Up at the National Flag express?
Like all China people, the author warmly welcomes the historic moment of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. The second part expresses people's excitement and pride when they watch the people and the national flag of China and the flag of Ran Ran District of the Special Administrative Region. This emotion is truly expressed through some close-up descriptions, such as "flags", "flagpoles", "silent scenes" and "slightly trembling lips". "Cry softly over and over again with tears" and so on. The third section mainly tells that the author thinks of the humiliating history of Hongkong, the unequal treaties imposed on China by the great powers since the Opium War, and expresses his pride and joy now. The fourth section tells that Hong Kong has opened a new chapter in history, and the author expresses his warm welcome to Hong Kong's return to the motherland and his deep wishes for its bright future in warm and unrestrained language.
