Modern Poetry: If I were a bird

If I were a bird,

I will spread my wings and fly in the sky,

Or singing in a golden cage?

If I were an elephant,

I'll be in the forest, free,

Or are you locked up in a zoo without food and clothing?

If I were a little flower,

I enjoy the sunshine and accept the rain and dew.

Or as bookmarks and toys?

If I were a seedling,

I will grow up in a ravine with branches,

Or accept repairs and become a towering tree?

If I were a star,

I'm dazzling,

Or as plain as fireflies?

If I were a ray of sunshine in the morning,

I will choose all the villages scattered in Shan Ye,

Or is it dazzling in the square of the bustling city?

Mom knows my worry,

She told me,

I am who I am,

Always a free, happy and lovely daughter.

The teacher read my diary,

She told me,

I am who I am,

Is a good boy who grows up in the sunshine and enjoys love.

Yes, I am who I am,

I am a free bird,

I am a dazzling star,

I will try to be a towering tree,

I filled the darkness with sunshine.

I am who I am,

Little master of 2 1 century,

Grow up happily under the care of the party,

Growing up in my mother's arms.
