3. Meng Haoran's life has been in the contradiction between seeking an official position and retiring, but it has nothing to do with his official career in the end. Although he lived in seclusion in the mountains, he was familiar with Zhang Jiuling and other dignitaries at that time, and also had friends with poets Wang Wei, Li Bai and Wang Changling. Meng Haoran's poems got rid of the narrow realm of response system and chanting things in the early Tang Dynasty, expressed more personal embrace, and brought fresh breath to Kaiyuan poetry circle, which was highly praised by people at that time.
