Zhuangxi Oilfield is located in the Yellow River Delta, the youngest land in the motherland. It is a part of Bohai Bay and a retreat at sea. Fifty years ago, it was a saline-alkali land. Trees are hard to grow, grass is not long and birds can't fly. This is a barren land, and it is extremely difficult for villagers to make a living. Every rainy day, the land is white and alkaline, shining silver in the sun.
After graduation in 2009, I took part in the work and returned to the land where I was raised. I grew up in an oil field, and I was also a native oil man. From an ignorant child to a glorious oil worker, I have been "thriving" in this big family of oil fields. Words such as kowtowing machine, petroleum, transportation, trial production and drilling are often heard from elders. I still don't understand the exact meaning of some terms. Until an opportunity after graduation, I was assigned to Zhuang west eight Oil Production Team, a place far from the sea. At first, my work was not satisfactory. As a rebellious generation, the almost unchanging oil well life makes me feel terrible about the 8-hour working system every day, especially the young people who want to go out from the oil field and go to society. But slowly, this environment is also quietly honing our minds. Here, people who also grew up in oil fields can shed their blood and youth in such a harsh environment. According to the elders, in that era of hard struggle, meetings were held at the beginning of the battle and there was no rest on weekends. They live on the ground, sleep in the wind and lead the leading workers to follow closely. As long as there is a combat mission, they are on call without complaint. There is no such thing as the current labor fee and bonus. At that time, I didn't even know there was such a word as bonus. Doing one's job well is the true nature of the working class. No selfish distractions, simple thoughts, only know how to pay and not take. What a pure and simple feeling! They are dedicated without regrets, and their conscientious spirit has already left a deep impression on us. They pointed out the direction for us, increased the motivation of struggle, and let me deeply understand the spirit of the oil man!
After years of exploiting oil fields, the beautiful red flag of Zhuangxi Oilfield is still so bright red, and the spirit of "old four is strict" is still in the hands of a new generation of oil people. And what is our present environment compared with the older generation of oil workers? "surely not afraid, snow and lightning let it go. I dedicate oil to my motherland. Where there is oil, there is my home. " When I grew up listening to "I Contribute Oil to the Motherland", the lofty and heroic melody and the close relationship between the pumping unit and the derrick told me that I was also a small oil flower. Today's Zhuangxi is not what it used to be. I just feel that the times are progressing and the living standards of oilfield people are improving. A decade, twenty or thirty years, dozens of decades, let oilfield people see the earth-shaking changes that have taken place in this land of oilfield. In this primitive land, a large number of scholars, cadres and technical backbones have been nourished ... Who will forget the hard course of the oil field? When I recall my oilfield home, I will also think of my predecessors who fought and died in the oilfield.
Today's achievements, including fine traditions, do not fall from the sky, but are the crystallization of the blood and sweat of our new and old generations. How many children's youth are sprinkled in beautiful oil fields, where every brick, tile, grass and tree are connected with our flesh and blood, and many people have paid the price of illness and life for it. It is gratifying that our younger generation of oil workers are still fighting for it as always, constantly changing themselves and things around them with full enthusiasm. On the road in the future, we will still make unremitting efforts and silently dedicate our lives to the oilfield cause!
As an oil worker, it is my pride to work in such a unit. At this moment, I am determined to learn from the older generation of oil workers. No matter how hard the work is and how bad the environment is, I will inherit and carry forward the hard-working spirit and firm belief of the older generation of oil workers. I am convinced that the rhetoric of "I would rather live less than 20 years than strive for a big oil field" will always inspire our oil workers from generation to generation to fight for the energy rejuvenation of the motherland. I believe that with our joint efforts, the future of our home will be even better!
