Many rhetorical devices, including empathy, are widely used in poetry creation. Such as analogy, metaphor, exaggeration, duality, parallelism, repetition, conjunction and so on. Let's talk about comparison this time.
Comparison is a metaphor, describing one thing as another. Describing people as plants, animals or inanimate things is simulacra. On the contrary, giving plants, animals or non-living things human personality characteristics is personification. In poetry creation. Personification and imitation are common.
Anthropomorphic people often contact, so I won't go into details here. Here, I will focus on simulacra. Imitation can be divided into the following categories.
First of all, people should be plants, animals or non-living. For example, in my poem "Dew and Lotus", I drew a pair of lovers named Dew and Lotus. Among them, dew is abiotic, while lotus is a plant. It is precisely because in real life, we often see crystal dew rolling on the big green lotus leaf that we are inspired to write it.
The poem reads: "Lying in the heart of the lotus, feeling the transparent world ... ∕ No matter how prosperous and gorgeous the leaves in the world are ∕ I would like to lie in the heart of the lotus ∕ for nothing but the eternal promise of past lives ∕ I have a lotus in the lotus ∕" in this little poem. Lotus or lotus, dewdrop or dewdrop.
"Since ancient times, like cicadas, I ∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕∕.
Second, turn abstract things or concepts into concrete and tangible things. For example, the poem in Han Shaogong's Fire House says: "She seems to have innocence in her pocket, and she can use it as soon as she takes it out." "Innocence" is an abstract concept, but it is compared to a tangible thing here, making it vivid, concrete and vivid.
Another example is Yu Guangzhong's poem "Under the Full Moon", which contains such a poem: "Wrap a piece of moonlight and go back/go back and put it in a Tang poem/flatten it like a broken acacia", and quantify the shapeless moonlight into a piece and put it in a Tang poem. The result becomes dull, just like crushed acacia. Acacia is an abstract concept. Has also been given a shape, flat. Putting these poems at the end of the whole poem greatly improves the artistic conception of the poem. It has reached a beautiful realm with endless words and endless meanings, and it is very picturesque.
When using this figure of speech, it is inseparable from rich association and imagination. It is precisely because of these two necessary abilities. This rhetoric will bring readers a novel, interesting and colorful emotional experience.
