The life of the character
According to legend, some of the classic Bible of Judaism and Christianity, Daniel, was written by him, while others were recorded by later generations.
Chapter 1-6 describes Daniel's life from the perspective of the third person, and chapter 7- 12 records Daniel's prophecy from the perspective of the first person.
In the past, before cuneiform could be interpreted, he was always regarded as a fictional character.
Finally, in 1854, a clay cylinder was found in the ruins of Babylon, Cuba.
It was not until the inscriptions in the palace were interpreted that his life outside the Bible was known to the world.
Nabonidus ordered the record: the prayer of the eldest son Bichadsa, the record of the last ruler. According to Daniel, Daniel was a young Jew and was taken to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar II. The Israelites were taken captive by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon for three times, namely in the third year of Jehoiakim (24- 1-3/ Dan 1- 1), the first year of jehoiachin (24- 12) and the ninth year of Zedekiah (25-2). Among them, young people were taken away first. Daniel, Hananiah, Michalli and Azariah, four outstanding young people, were prepared for the Jewish royal family. They are the heroes in Daniel's book, so Daniel was the first to be taken away. He served as a minister in foreign courts and served King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon (605-562 BC), Belshazzar (556-539 BC) and King cyrus the great of Persia (559-530 BC).
Main story
The prophet Daniel in the Bible told us that Nebuchadnezzar made a huge golden statue for everyone to bow down to. But Daniel's three partners refused. Nebuchadnezzar ordered Daniel's three good friends to be thrown into the furnace, which was seven times hotter than usual. Before throwing, Nebuchadnezzar said: If you want to live, just say that I no longer believe in our God, but I believe in your God. But Daniel's three good friends refused, saying: The God we serve can save us from the burning kiln. O king, he will deliver us from your hand; Otherwise, you should know, O king, that we will never serve your God or worship the golden image you have set up. In desperation, Nebuchadnezzar ordered Daniel's three good friends to be thrown into the furnace. At this time, just as the soldiers threw them into the stove, a miracle appeared. All the soldiers were burned to death near the stove mouth, because the temperature in the stove was very hot, and Daniel's three partners actually walked in the stove. This is a very strange phenomenon. There are not three people in the stove, but four people, which makes Nebuchadnezzar very confused. But Daniel's three partners, unscathed and without burn marks, passed this matter, which made Nebuchadnezzar have to admire the god Daniel believed in. So, the next day, Nebuchadnezzar declared that the God Daniel believed was the true God, so you should all believe. Daniel was captured by the Babylonian army in the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah (605 BC). King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon chose many young Hebrews as his servants, and Daniel was one of them. But because the food was for idols, Daniel and his three partners refused to eat the food given by the king. The Bible quotes Daniel as one of the most sacred figures. For example, Ezekiel tells us that Daniel is "one of the people who can save himself with his own righteousness" (Ezekiel 14). With the wisdom given by God, Daniel solved the dream of the colossus for King Nebuchadnezzar and was promoted as the chief of Babylon. According to the Bible, he was still alive in the time of King Ju Lushi of Persia.
