Introduction to Yuan Ying

Yuan Ying, formerly known as Tian Zhongluo, was born in Huai 'an County, Jiangsu Province in 1924. Literary creation began in the mid-194s, with prose having the greatest influence.

After finishing middle school and university in Shanghai, I once worked as a middle school teacher and engaged in journalism for a long time. He joined Shanghai World Morning News at the end of 1945, edited the supplement of Shanghai Lianhe Evening News in 1947, and served as a special correspondent of Shanghai Xinmin Daily at the end of the same year, during which he wrote many essays, essays, novels and poems. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was a reporter and editor of Liberation Daily. In 1952, he was transferred to Beijing People's Daily, and served as editor, deputy director and director of the Literature and Art Department. He was also the third and fourth director of the Chinese Writers Association and a member of the fourth presidium. Up to now, more than 4 collections of literary creation and critical essays have been published, and prose collections and children's literature works have won national excellent literature awards for many times.

His published essays include The First Spark, North and South of the Red River, The Tenth Spring, Sailing, Sorrow and Joy, Tianya, Running, Beijing Essays and Selected Prose of Yuan Ying. Yuan Ying's prose has a wide range of themes, intense feelings and profound thoughts. The descriptions of one person, one thing, one scene and one thing in his works all reflect the social human feelings and pulse of the times. In terms of art, his prose is full of poetic elements, with poetic association, artistic conception and poetic language.
