This poem is sincere in emotion and fresh and lively in style, which caused a sensation in the whole poetry circle at that time, and Ai Qing became famous in one fell swoop. 1935 published his first book of poetry shortly after he was released from prison. In the same year, 25-year-old Ai Qing was ordered by her parents to marry Zhang Zhuru.

Ai Qing's unjust case was not rehabilitated until 1979. After that, Ai Qing finally got the treatment she deserved and died on 1996 at the age of 86.

When Ai Qing was 25 years old, she married Zhang Zhuru because of her parents' orders, but not long after the marriage, Ai Qing went to Changzhou to be a teacher. At that time, it was 1936, where Ai Qing met Zhang Yueqin, a female student 1 1 year younger than him. At that time, Zhang Yueqin was only 14 years old, studying in the third grade of Ai Qing's school and working as a teacher. But at that time, for various reasons, Ai Qing and Zhang Yueqin didn't have much in common.
It was not until 1939 that Zhang Yueqin, renamed Wei Yi, found Ai Qing in Guilin, and their hearts suddenly turned into deep love. At that time, Ai Qing even knelt down on the spot to stop Wei Yi from leaving his side, threatening to throw himself into the lake and did many remarkable things. After divorcing Zhang Zhuru, Ai Qing soon married Wei Wa, who was 18 years old. Although their love was vigorous, they lived together for 16 years and raised four children, but they did not live together. 1955, Wei Yi took Ai Qing to court, and the two were divorced by the court.
At the same time, 23-year-old Gao Ying was on the verge of marriage breakdown, and it was in this year that she met Ai Qing, who had just divorced. It was love at first sight, but Gao Ying told love that she was married at the age of 18 and now has two children. However, Ai Qing didn't flinch and still began to fall in love with Gao Ying. Gao Ying's husband at that time was very dissatisfied, which caused a storm in the city. Gao Ying, who finally divorced 1956, married Ai Qing and never gave up. She once wrote a poem "Rattan": "She is the most affectionate, and whoever she falls in love with will accompany her all her life." Rain or shine, Gao Ying has been with Ai Qing.
Their married life is not peaceful. 1957, Ai Qing was wrongly sentenced and sent to work in Heilongjiang and Xinjiang. Gao Ying followed him to Heilongjiang and Xinjiang. In Ai Qing's most difficult 20 years, Gao Ying has been with him.
Although their days in Heilongjiang are hard, they are still peaceful. But during that time, the domestic environment changed, and Gao Ying and Ai Qing were once treated badly. Ai Qing's health went from bad to worse, with blindness in his right eye and severe congestion in his left eye. Under difficult conditions, two people help each other and support each other. Finally, Ai Qing was rehabilitated and returned to Beijing.
