The same is true of lǜ. There are strange trees and gorgeous green leaves in the court.

This is the first time I've seen you. The incense is full of sleeves and the road is long.

Translation:
There is a rare tree in the yard, full of green leaves and dense flowers, which is particularly vibrant and full of the breath of spring. I climbed up the branch, broke off the most beautiful bunch of tree flowers and gave them to my relatives who missed me day and night. The fragrance of flowers fills my skirts and sleeves, and the sky is far away, so flowers can't be sent to my relatives.
Just clinging to the flowers, standing under the tree for a long time, letting the fragrance overflow the sleeves, helpless. What is so precious about this flower? Just because I have been away for too long, I want to express my nostalgia through it.
Creation background
Strange Trees in the Courtyard is a poem in funeral march, the ninth of nineteen ancient poems. There are different opinions about the background of Nineteen Ancient Poems. Yuwen Suoan thinks that China's early poems are a kind of copying system, and there is no conclusive evidence to prove that "ancient poetry" was earlier than Jian 'an period. As for the specific creation time of "there are strange trees in the courtyard", it is difficult to confirm.
Distinguish and appreciate
This poem is about a woman who deeply misses her long-distance husband. From trees and leaves, from leaves and flowers, from flowers and picking, from picking and sending, from sending and thinking. The whole poem consists of eight sentences, which are divided into two levels, and every four sentences are one level.
The first two poems, "If you climb the bar to fold its glory, think about it." It depicts such a picture: in the courtyard of spring, there is a beautiful tree, full of green leaves and full of flowers, which is particularly vibrant.
This is a description of the environment and a scene of spring. However, "in the yard" in the first sentence implies that the scenery here is not in nature, but in a boudoir, which is a poem in in my heart forever expressing homesickness.
Thus, Sifu appeared: "Climb the bar to fold its glory, and keep your thoughts." Faced with this flowery scene, Sifu couldn't help climbing up the branch, breaking off the most beautiful bunch of flowers and giving them to her relatives who missed her day and night. Sending love with flowers reveals the theme of poetry-missing people who travel far away.
