Sonnet Wild Duck Lake

A wild duck,

Floating in the water.

The pond is reflected in the twilight eye,

Birds are singing and children are laughing.

Can't see high or low or far and near, it

Stumbling, trying to pick up duckweed and arrange flowers,

Duckweed is Joan's reward, let

The clear shadow of the sun swept over my shoulder.

Lake color, mottled leaves, midsummer.

Dream at night, wake up from reeds and branches.

Covered by mist, blown by the evening breeze,

Planes in the sky roared and made a silvery sound.

I leaned down and listened,

The earth smells of life.
