A brief description of Liang Qichao's life in 30 words: at the age of eight, he learned literature, at the age of nine, he was able to write thousands of words, 17 years old, and became a propagandist.

Liang Qichao was born in Chakeng Village, Xinhui, Guangdong Province on 26th, 12th year of Tongzhi. His grandfather was Liang Weiqing and his father was Liang Baoying. Liang Qichao has been studying at home since he was four years old, and he can study with his grandfather. Liang Qichao not only learned a lot of traditional knowledge of literature and history in his early enlightenment education, but also heard many tragic and passionate patriotic stories.

Grandpa often tells him about the national tragedy of Song and Ming Dynasties and recites exciting poems. This kind of extracurricular education with patriotic feelings and ideological tendency has had an important impact on Liang Qichao. In the eighth year of Guangxu (1882), Liang Qichao was only 10 years old, so he went to Guangzhou to take the boy test, and the result was not good. Two years later, I went to Guangzhou to take the exam. I was a scholar and a doctoral student.

Erudition and academic contribution

He made outstanding contributions to bibliography all his life. His masterpiece is Bibliography of Western Studies, which is innovative in classification and description. There are two kinds, learning, politics and teaching. This classification system breaks through the permanent four-part classification system, and opens the way for the input of modern western book classification and the emergence of new classification in China.

This project recorded 400 volumes of western learning and 68 volumes of western politics 168, which was written in the 22nd year of Guangxu (1896). Other bibliographic works include A Summary of Western Studies, An Introduction to Chinese Studies and Its Reading Methods, A Monthly Reader, A Bibliographic Examination of the Original Works of Eastern Studies, Important Bibliography and Its Reading Methods, The Position of Buddhist Scriptures in Bibliography in China, A Brief Examination of Zhuzi in Han Dynasty, etc.
