Extended data
1, the creative background of twelve feelings (I)
In the 25th year of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (737), Zhang Jiuling was demoted from the prime minister of Shangshu to the long history of Jingzhou. Old age was ruined by greed and infidelity. "Every time I read Han Fei's Indignation, I burst into tears" (Xu Hao's "Zhanggong Tombstone"), so I wrote down twelve kinds of feelings.
2. Appreciation of Twelve Emotions (I)
At the beginning of the poem, two elegant plants, Chunlan and Qiugui, are highlighted with neat even sentences. There is a saying in Qu Yuan's "Nine Songs and Ritual Soul" that "Chunlan Qiuju will last forever". Zhang Jiuling, a native of Qujiang, Guangdong Province, is rich in osmanthus trees, so he used local materials to replace Qiuju with Qiugui, learning from the past but not from it. Gui Lan held up her leaves and Gui held up her flowers.
This is due to the relationship between sentences, which is intertextual. In fact, they are all covered with flowers and leaves, generally referring to the whole plant. Orchids are described by the word "lush", which means lush and colorful. The word "lush" means that bluegrass blooms in spring and has unlimited vitality. Osmanthus fragrans is described as bright, with dark green leaves and light yellow osmanthus. In contrast, nature feels bright and clean. The word "bright and clean" simply points out the elegant characteristics of autumn laurel.
