The artistic conception of poetry refers to the virtual emotional world produced by the combination of the author's inner true feelings and the external scenery. It is generated on the basis of images. In my reply to What is the Image of Poetry, I have introduced the image of poetry in detail. The artistic conception of poetry is the combination of the artistic realm created by the author and the artistic realm produced by the reader after reading.
Obviously, in the artistic realm of poetry, the choice and interaction of images is the key to the level of artistic conception, so there are several important factors to express a good artistic conception.
The first is the choice of "image". The relationship between things and emotions is very subtle, and most people are familiar with the way to express their affection for things. After reading many ancient poems, many people already know how to choose "images", for example, the bright moon and climbing mountains imply homesickness, and the west wind can imply the decadent forces of decline. I won't elaborate on this point.
The second is the interaction between "images" or between "images" and people, that is, the so-called verb choice. This is the weakness of most people. Many people have listed many things in their poems, but these things are just arranged together, which not only can't interact with each other, but also stand between the poem and the reader like a cold wall made of words, making people completely unable to see the author's emotional orientation. For example, I saw a sentence today, "Looking for tender bamboo shoots after parting", which is really good, but looking for tender bamboo shoots has nothing to do with parting.
Can you imagine a person in a different mood, not worrying about drinking or writing poems alone, but "rustling" to find tender bamboo shoots in the mountains? If anyone has this experience, let everyone smile, but don't write it in poetry. You can feel the phrase "the petals have flowed like tears, and the lonely bird has sang grief". The "image" chosen by the author includes flowers and birds, and a large number of verbs are used to express emotions, including feeling, weeping, hating farewell and heart-pounding. These very strong verbs express emotions, making sentences with only ten words full of vitality, expressive force and strong sense of depicting emotions. Of course, the verb must be just right, and the author's careful deliberation is very important. Everyone must work hard and study more.
Third, the choice of adjectives. To understand this, we just need to look at the sentence "withered vines and old trees faint crows". The three adjectives of withered, old and faint make vines, trees and crows feel decadent and miserable instantly, which is the finishing touch.
