Thoughts on Traveling to Beijing Botanical Garden

I got up early this morning. My mood is as sunny as the weather in Wan Li today, because my classmates and I are going to Beijing Botanical Garden today.

When you walk into the gate of Beijing Botanical Garden, the first thing you see is a Chinese knot made of flowers, with the four characters "Shi Sheng Huazhang" written on it. Next to it is a huge Chinese rose flower shape composed of flowers. Walking in the middle, there is a column made of 10 flowers. Walking around the pillar, I saw the shape of a dragon made up of many flowers. This dragon is very powerful and has big eyes.

Beijing Botanical Garden is located near the reclining Buddha Temple in Xishan Mountain, covering an area of 400 hectares. Beijing Botanical Garden collects, displays and preserves plant resources, integrating scientific research, popular science and sightseeing functions. At present, the Botanical Garden has built more than 200 hectares of open area, which consists of plant display area, cultural landscape area of historical sites, nature reserve and scientific research area. The plant exhibition area includes 1 1 ornamental plant area, arboretum garden, begonia garden, Mulan garden, Jixiu garden (bamboo garden), perennial flower garden and plum garden under construction. Botanical Garden consists of Ginkgo, Pine and cypress, Fengxiang Rose, Tilia, Magnolia and Berberis, Platanus acerifolia and Paulownia Ash under construction. 1995 bonsai garden was completed and opened; There is a 2000-square-meter low-temperature greenhouse in the greenhouse flower area, and 1999 has the largest plant exhibition greenhouse in China. More than 560,000 species and 5,000 species of cultivated plants have been introduced into the park, covering 900,000 square meters of grassland. The scenic spots and historical sites are composed of the Sleeping Buddha Temple, Cherry Valley, Longjiao Temple Site, the "December 9" Memorial Pavilion, Liang Qichao Cemetery, Cao Xueqin Memorial Hall, etc.

Among the activities, what impressed me most was Cao Xueqin Memorial Hall. Cao Xueqin is a great writer in China. His Dream of Red Mansions has been circulated for more than 200 years. According to the descriptions of poets such as Duncheng, Dunmin and Zhang Yiquan, Cao Xueqin's friends, the "Yellow Leaf Village" written by Cao Xueqin in his later years is very consistent with the historical sites near Zhengbaiqi. In order to show our admiration for Cao Xueqin, the Botanical Garden chose a corner of Zhengbai Banner to reproduce Huangye Village for us to visit. Huangye Village covers an area of 1.8 hectares, surrounded by hedges, with winding paths and deep alleys. There are vegetable gardens, medicine gardens, melon sheds, stone mills, pulleys, arrow fields, ancient docks, tea houses and restaurants in the village, which are full of the peasant flavor of the mountain village.

Then I went to the Science and Technology Museum, which is an educational base for popularizing plant knowledge and promoting ecological awareness. I saw many plants there and learned about their different functions.

Today, I not only increased my knowledge, but also saw all kinds of plants. Today is really a happy day!
