1939 In August, eight strangers with different jobs and social status received letters from the owners of an island, Mr. and Mrs. Owen. Although they didn't know the island owners who called themselves Mr. and Mrs. Owen, they were all attracted by the different reasons mentioned in the letter, so they arrived at Soldier Island near the coast of Devon by boat within the specified time.
There is a mansion on the island. A housekeeper and his wife welcome them to live in it. Only then did I know that the Owenses were not at home, and the weather was bad at that time, so eight guests and two butlers, 10, were trapped on soldier island.
At dinner time, the phonograph played automatically, and a strange male voice read out the names of everyone on the island 10, and at the same time told everyone's crimes and announced that they would die on the island. The first to die was the housekeeper's wife. Later, Vera (Maeve Dermody), who came to apply for a job as a secretary, found that the murderer wanted to kill them one by one according to the content of a poem, and every time he killed a person, there would be one less soldier ornament on the living room table.
According to reasoning, there was no one else on Soldier Island, and the murderer was one of 10 people. Is it a policeman, a veteran, a doctor or a judge? As more and more people die, the murderer is ready to come out.
