Lu You arrived in Kuizhou at the end of the sixth year of Dadao. A year later, at the request of Wang Yan, the special envoy of Sichuan Fu Xuan, he entered the shogunate to assist in military affairs. Sichuan is stationed in Hanzhong, which is the front line of the anti-gold war, and Wang Yan is an effective leader. At this time, Lu You was very excited, and a new world appeared in his life and creation. Dressed in military uniform, he galloped in the military fortress in Hanzhong area, sitting in the position of an iron horse, facing the rustling border, listening to the drums of Diao Dou, and wrote many impassioned poems. However, such a happy life did not last for several months. With Wang Yan transferred back to Lin 'an, Lu You was transferred to Chengdu as a sinecure in the appeasement department. He seems to feel that the ideal of attacking Nuzhen and recovering lost ground has once again become a bubble. In disappointment, he spent most of his time singing and dancing, feasting and socializing, trying to suppress his pain in this intoxication.
In the second year of Xichun (1 175), Lu You returned to Chengdu several times, and Fan Chengda came here as an envoy of Sichuan. Old friends meet in different places, are very affectionate, and often drink and sing together. Lu you is originally unrestrained. At this time, his anti-gold ambition and personal career were frustrated. He even used wine to drown his sorrows. Because of his "informality", he was ridiculed by some people as "decadence" (the original biography of Song Shi) and was dismissed for three years in Xichun. Lu You simply called himself "Weng Fang" to show his attitude of confrontation and contempt. However, although he is broad-minded and decadent in appearance and drinks for fun, his heart is often full of anxiety, indignation and sorrow. We can see from his Guan Shanyue this year:
In the fifteenth year of Herong's reign, the general did not fight empty borders. Zhu dances heavily, but the horse is fat and the bow is broken. Garrison Diao Dou urged the moon to set and joined the army at the age of 30. Who knows that a strong man's heart is in the flute, and the sand head is empty. The Central Plains had heard of war in ancient times, and no descendants were against Hu Chuan. The adherents endured death and looked forward to recovery, and shed tears tonight.
Lu You lived in Sichuan and Shaanxi for nine years. Because he personally went to the front line, experienced the atmosphere of the battlefield, and experienced the emotional waves of not fighting but aiming high, his poetry creation in this period made unprecedented achievements; All his poems are named "Poems of Jiannan" to commemorate this unforgettable life.
