Du Fu drank two barrels of cool and steaming water from Yusheng Spring and walked home. As soon as I entered the room, I heard my youngest son groaning and yelling at his mother that he had a stomachache. Du Fu quickly put down the bucket and asked why. The youngest son said, "I ate too many chestnuts yesterday and my stomach hurts." Du Fu quickly lit a green charcoal fire, found a medicine sand spear from the wooden box, scooped up half a ladle of jade rope spring water, put it in the medicine sand spear to boil water, and in a short time, the water boiled. Find seven big red dates from the medicine cabinet, and put three slices of ginger in the casserole and cook them together for a while. The whole hut is filled with the smell of rising ginger and dates. Du Fu filled half a bowl of ginger and jujube soup for his youngest son to drink while it was hot. Soon the younger son told his parents that his stomach didn't hurt.
It is said that the upstream water source of Yusheng Spring is under the Crouching Tiger Cliff in Nanshan, which is dangerous and sweet. Under the Crouching Tiger Cliff, there are twelve eyes of different sizes. It's like twelve big eyes in a rocky forest. Under the midday sun, the spring water is clear and transparent, which can reflect everything. Of these twelve eyes, the first one in the east is called Zishuquan, the second one is called Ugly Cow Spring, and the fifth one is called Chenlongquan. Except for the water from the fifth eye, Chen Long Spring, it flowed along the rocks for a while, then disappeared at the foot of Crouching Tiger Cliff Mountain, and all the other eleven springs flowed out.
Because Du Fu cured his son's stomachache with the water from Yusheng Spring, it spread to Tonggu County. Since then, people often use the water from Yusheng Spring to boil medicine for adults and children, and the effect is not bad. For more than 1000 years, people in Shili Baxiang still follow the habit of decocting medicine with clear water in Yusheng Spring.
Time has passed. Due to natural changes, there are not many twelve-eye springs under the Crouching Tiger Cliff, and most of them have dried up. Only the water in Chenlongquan still keeps the previous amount. Because of the road leading to Feilongxia Power Station, Yu Shengquan dug a tunnel beside it and destroyed the mountain. Nowadays, people can only see flowing water in the cracks of stones, but they can't see the beautiful landscape of the former fish-born spring.
