Impressions after reading "Zhou Nan. Guan Ju"
Guan Ju
Guan Guan Jujiu, in the river state.
A graceful lady, a gentleman likes to fight.
Strange water-lilies flow left and right,
A graceful lady, longing for them.
I can’t get what I want, so I sleep hard and think about it.
It’s leisurely, tossing and turning.
Pick them from left to right.
A graceful lady, a harp and a friend.
There are different types of waterlilies, with leaves growing on both sides.
A graceful lady, played with bells and drums.
"Guan Ju" is a poem of only 80 words, but it occupies an extremely important position in the history of Chinese literature. It seems that it cannot be overrated. In order to understand this, first, let us understand the Book of Songs.
"The Book of Songs" is the earliest collection of poems in my country, with 305 chapters. Originally it was only called "The Book of Songs", but it was listed as one of the Confucian classics, so it was called "The Book of Songs". "The Book of Songs" is divided into three categories: "Wind", "Ya", and "Song": "Feng" includes the styles of the fifteen countries, "Ya" includes "Daya" and "Xiaoya", and "Song" includes "Zhou Song" , "Song of Lu", "Song of Shang". According to records in "Historical Records" and other books, the entire book was deleted by Confucius.
For a long time, "The Book of Songs" has been highly praised. It has had an extremely profound and broad influence on the development of Chinese literature for more than 2,000 years. And it is an extremely precious ancient historical material.
The status of "The Book of Songs" is so important, and "Guanyong", the beginning of "Wind", was ranked first among the three hundred chapters by the ancients, which shows its important status and high evaluation. It's conceivable.
So what is the reason why "Guan Ju" has such a prominent status and such a high evaluation? Let us look again at what the ancients said.
"Preface to Mao's Poems" says: ""Guanyong", the virtue of the concubine is also the beginning of the wind." It is more clear later: "So the wind of the world is the right couple. The hometown of the old use People use it to help the country. Wind means wind and teaching. "
"Historical Records. , "Poetry" begins with "Guanyong", "Book" is beautiful... the relationship between husband and wife is about the great ethics of humanity."
Also "Han Shu. Kuang Heng Biography": "On Confucius. Poems generally begin with "Guan Ju". This is the beginning of the chapter and the end of Wang Jiao. "
That's why "Guan Ju" is so prominent. For more than two thousand years, "Guanyong" has been influenced by such reasons and has actually endured a weight that it cannot bear as a poem. I feel deeply sad for "Guan Ju"! Such a beautiful poem, which is full of emotion and sex, has been used by Feng Tianxiazheng and his wife as a model of Wang Jiaogangji. It has been artificially put on the face of a preacher, and the meaning of the poem itself has been lost. Even today, there are still people who think that this is the virtue of a concubine and aristocratic culture, and it is loaded with a burden that cannot be loaded. I really don’t know what kind of thinking this is!
"Guan Ju" is actually just a love poem sung by the people.
Let us return to the poem itself:
The spring is bright, the wind is gentle, and the water birds are singing harmoniously on the sandbank. By the murmuring clear water, a beautiful lady was picking water plants from the river. Her figure is so graceful and graceful, deeply integrated into my soul. It was love at first sight and we have been in love ever since! However, there was no trace of her again! This long-term longing tortured me day and night, making me toss and turn and unable to sleep. So, the lovesickness turned into a fantasy, imagining getting along with my beloved girl Qin Se, imagining the joyful scene of getting married to this beautiful girl and getting married. What a wonderful love this is!
What a wonderful love poem this is! Only in this way can the essence of poetry be reflected, poetry can have such a soul-stirring charm, and can it survive the fires of Qin and be passed down through the ages. Just imagine, can a poem like this that praises the virtues of a concubine and serves as a moral guide can be passed down orally in the long river of history and endure for thousands of years? If so, what a disgraceful thing it is!
Confucius said in his "The Analects": ""Guanyong" is happy but not obscene, sad but not sad." This means that "Guanyong" is just right in praising the love between men and women. , extremely natural. I think Confucius's evaluation is quite pertinent, at least it has not wiped out his human side. Even false Taoists like Zhu Xi held the same views as Confucius. This cannot but illustrate the great appeal of such beautiful love poems that were produced in the ancient land of China more than two thousand years ago.
"Guan Ju" is just an ancient love poem. What it carries is true love, and what it carries is only the touching and profound artistic appeal of poetry! And we must never bear the weight beyond that!
