First, the basic understanding of the nature of God

God talks to himself through his holy name and reveals himself through his attributes. He is the father of light, calling us out of darkness and into his wonderful light. We should proclaim his virtue and praise him according to his great beauty. 2: 9; Poetry 152). God's attribute is "his beautiful virtue", that is, everything the Bible tells him about himself is full and perfect: it is clearly visible in his creation and care (Romans. 1: 19-20), and we are in his My Salvation (Ps. 34: 8; More than three 4-7).

1. Identity of ontology and attribute

The trinity true god is the creator above all things, and he is unparalleled. The most holy Lord says, "To whom will you compare me, so that he will be equal to me?"? (yes. 40: 25) It is impossible for our creations to describe and compare with their own limited logical thoughts, and to analyze and summarize the attributes of God. Therefore, we must humbly rely on God, listen to the revelation of the Bible and learn the attributes of God. Bible revelation: the Trinity God is eternal, and his noumenon and divinity are inseparable. He is the only true God, and the Bible clearly shows that he and his attributes are the same: "God is spirit" (about 4: 24), "God is light" (about 1 1: 5) and "God is love" (about 14: 8,/kloc-. His attribute is all the enrichment and perfection of his ontology; His noumenon is manifested in his attributes. And all his attributes are perfect, * * * one.

2. The difference between sacred attributes

As mentioned above, the attributes of God are perfect and pure, and are not composed of parts. But as far as human cognitive learning is concerned, it needs to be step by step. Therefore, we must understand the nature of God according to the human learning process. Therefore, the gradual revelation of the Bible shows the attributes of God from different levels. Although the attributes of God are inseparable in essence, they can be distinguished in the degree of human acceptance. In other words, the difference between the attributes of God is the expression of the same essence at different levels.

The Bible tells us: "The immortal named Saint said," I live in the highest and most holy place, with those who repent and humble "(Isaiah 57: 15). This shows that there are two levels of God's attributes: God lives in the highest and most sacred place, which shows that he is a "transcendental God"; He lives in the heart of a contrite and humble man, which shows that he is an "existential God". In this way, according to the relationship between the creator and the creature, the attributes of God can be divided into two types: transcendental attribute (absolute attribute: only God has it, but the creature has nothing to do with it) and existential attribute (relative attribute: God and the creature can correspond). In theological usage, it is usually called "incommunicable attribute" and "communicable attribute".

Second, the nature of transcendence.

These attributes emphasize the absolute difference between "creator" and "creature":

1. The independence and self-existence of God

God's holy name "Jehovah God" indicates that he is eternal (for example. 3: 13- 14), unlike people or other creatures who need to rely on external things to survive. His noumenon and behavior are perfect and self-sufficient: "He is the first and the last" (Isaiah 44: 6), "The Father has life in himself" (John 5: 26), "He is the Alpha and he is the Omega; He is the beginning, and he is the end "(Revelation 2 1.6)," He was the Almighty, was, is and will be forever "(Revelation 4.8)," Everything was created according to his will "(Revelation 4. 1 1. Eighty-four 2; Four days in advance (10).

2. God will never change

God is unchangeable, and his noumenon and attributes, will and promise are unchangeable: "Only he is unchangeable, and his years are infinite" (Ps. 1227); Because "the Lord is unchangeable, your son of Jacob has not perished" (Mal. 3: 6); He is "the father of all lights" ... in him, there is no change, and there is no turning shadow "(Yayi 17).

3. God's infinite omnipotence

God is above all things, without any restrictions. His infinity is manifested in all aspects. His ontology is absolutely complete, and every attribute of him is infinite and immeasurable (Bo11:7-10; Psalm 1453): As far as ability is concerned, he is omnipotent, and no one can stop the Almighty. Nothing is difficult for him (kai 19: 6, kai 18, kai11:17; sai 43 13; Gen1816); In terms of space, he is "ubiquitous", he is full of heaven and earth, everywhere, and is not limited by space (Jer. 23: 23-24; Poetry1397-10; Wangxiaba 27-28). In terms of knowledge, he is "omniscient", he has all the knowledge and knows everything (about13: 20; Bo 37 16)
