Yu Dafu (December 7, 1896 - September 17, 1945), male, formerly known as Yu Wen, courtesy name Dafu, and his childhood name A Feng, lived in Fuyang, Zhejiang He is a modern Chinese writer and revolutionary martyr. He studied in Japan and graduated from Nagoya Eighth High School (now Nagoya University) and Tokyo Imperial University (now Tokyo University)
Yu Dafu is one of the founders of the new literary group "Creation Society". A patriotic writer who died fighting Japan and saving the country. While writing literature, he also actively participated in various anti-imperialist and anti-Japanese organizations, and successively engaged in anti-Japanese and national salvation propaganda activities in Shanghai, Wuhan, Fuzhou and other places.
On September 10, the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945) On the 7th, Yu Dafu was killed by the Japanese army in the jungle of Sumatra Island. In 1952, the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China posthumously recognized Yu Dafu as a revolutionary martyr. On June 20, 1983, the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Civil Affairs awarded him a revolutionary martyr certificate.
Yu Dafu’s former residence is located in Yu Dafu Park in Fuyang City, with low walls and a courtyard. In front of the living room of Yu Dafu’s former residence is a portrait of a lean, elegant and independent man. In the display window, two martyr certificates issued by the Central People's Government of New China and the Ministry of Civil Affairs have become a recent starting point for people to commemorate Yu Dafu's anti-war deeds. In the living room of the building, there are calligraphy and paintings donated by Yu's old friends, including a scroll of seven-character poem "Self-mockery" by Mr. Lu Xun.
