Religion is saved by practice, but God does not ask people to practice penance and accumulate virtue. There are no righteous people in the world, and human righteousness is just a rag. All the benefits of human beings come from the body. People who don't believe in Jesus don't have eternal life, and people who don't have new life only do good by the flesh, but God doesn't like the flesh: "People who are carnal can't be liked by God." (Rom。 8:8) How can an unsaved person make atonement by doing good deeds in the flesh to please God? Absolutely not.
God knows that man can't save himself, so he has made a law of salvation for man-giving his only son to Christ Jesus to do the work of salvation, so that all who believe in him can be saved. But how can we really believe it?
The word "letter" here, the original text is "letter", translated into English means believing, and sometimes translated into believe on means "trust".
Only one god can't be saved: "You believe that there is only one god, and you believe well;" Ghosts and demons also believe, but they are shocked. " (Jas. 2: 19) The letter here does not have the word "Ru" in the original text, which means there is a god. Such a letter is believed by all ghosts, but it cannot be saved.
Not only do we believe in God, but we must "believe" in God to be saved. For example, if you believe that the train can go to Beijing and buy a ticket, but you don't get on the train, it's not a letter, it's not a matter of dependence, and it has nothing to do with you. The train has left, so you can only watch it, but you can't go to Beijing, because you don't have a train and you have nothing to rely on. If we believe in God, we must believe in him. He gave his only son to save you. You can't save yourself without him. So we must believe in Christ, and through his precious blood, our sins will be forgiven.
The letter also accepted: "All who receive him are people who believe in his name, and he gives them the right to be children of God." (about 1: 12) The word "receive" here originally means "accept"; "Reception" is temporary, "acceptance" is forever; "Reception" means treating the Lord as a guest, and "acceptance" means treating the Lord as a master. To accept is to bring Christ into us. Trust means that we believe in Christ, I am in him, he is in me, and we are saved.
But before we believe, we should grieve for our sins, and the faith of sorrow is the faith of salvation (see Luke 7:36-50). A letter that is not sad about sin is a false letter.
True faith can produce behavior: "... only faith that makes people love is effective." (Gal。 5:6, see 1 John 5: 1) We are saved not because of deeds, but because faith will produce good deeds. Faith that does not produce love is false confidence, and of course it cannot be saved.
Second, who do you trust?
John 3: 16 begins by saying that "God loves the world", so we must trust in the true God. God once again gave us an only son, so we must believe in Christ Jesus. The beginning of this verse says that the Holy Spirit will regenerate us, so we must trust in the Holy Spirit. "He" means the Lord Jesus, but the Lord Jesus is given by the father, and Jesus has the Holy Spirit in him, so believing in him means believing in the Trinity God, and then we will be saved.
Whoever trusts in him will be saved, without exception, and whoever trusts in him will be saved.
