March of the Volunteers, the national anthem of our great motherland, was written in 1935, written by Tian Han and composed by Nie Er. It is the theme song created by the author for the film "Children of the Storm" in a special background. When Japanese imperialism invaded our country, the Chinese nation reached an important juncture of life and death. Shanghai Dentsu Film Company filmed the film "The Son of the Storm", which reflected the story of intellectuals in Kuomintang-ruled areas bravely marching to the front line of the Anti-Japanese War from hesitation and depression. According to the plot design of the film, Tian Han planned to write the last poem: "People who get up and don't want to be slaves …", which was later used as the theme song of "Children of the Storm", that is, the lyrics of march of the volunteers. Because Tian Han was facing the persecution of white terror at that time, the situation was very dangerous, and the lyrics were hastily written on a cigarette case. Tian Han was arrested by the reactionary government soon after he finished writing it. Nie Er, the composer of the song, was also threatened and persecuted by the reactionaries at that time. Nie Er finished composing "March of Courage" before taking temporary refuge abroad.
1949 On September 27th, at the plenary session of the new China People's Political Consultative Conference, March of the Volunteers was officially designated as the national anthem of China. Facing the threat and persecution of reactionaries, Tian Han and Nie Er still wrote this song with strong patriotism and creative spirit. Their spirit deeply touched me and made me feel that this song is more special.
March of the Volunteers, the national anthem, not only expresses China people's strong anger and resistance to imperialist aggression, but also embodies the fine tradition of the Chinese nation's courage, firmness and unity in facing foreign enemies. It is this spirit that has always inspired me to study hard, master rich knowledge, build my motherland stronger when I grow up, and make positive contributions to building a harmonious society in China.
