Qu County is a county under the jurisdiction of Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, People's Republic of China (PRC), with Dazhu in the east, Yingshan and Peng 'an in the west, Dachuan District of Dazhou City and Pingchang County of Bazhong City in the north, and Guang 'an in Nantong in the south. The county covers an area of about 20 18.37 square kilometers. According to the data of the seventh census, the resident population of Quxian County is 9 17508.
Quxian County is located in the east of Sichuan Basin, on the west side of Huaying Mountain. It belongs to the transition zone between the parallel ridge and valley areas in eastern Sichuan and the purple hilly areas in central Sichuan. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, it is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, with an average elevation of 360 meters. Most areas are below 500 meters. It is a subtropical humid monsoon climate with mild climate, abundant rainfall and four distinct seasons. Quxian County is known as "the hometown of Hanque in China" and "the hometown of yellow flowers in China". It has been named as the hometown of folk culture and art in China, the hometown of bamboo weaving art in China, the hometown of poetry in China and the most valuable cultural (heritage) tourist destination city in China. Liu Zhubian and Sanhui Caiting Society were selected as national intangible cultural heritage protection projects, while Dangfu wine and Quxian gongs and drums were selected as provincial intangible cultural heritage protection projects.
