Children's Poetry of Love and Dreams

The taste of love

mother

I love you

My love comes from the heart.

The taste of love is sweet

It smells like fruit.

My love is strawberries.

Dad's love is banana-flavored.

Motherly love is apple-flavored.

Fruit tastes different.

Love tastes different, too.

snowflake

It's the little angel pulling the pillow

Shake off goose feathers

Scatter all over the floor

snowflake

Is the mother of the sky.

Hired cotton

So it can make a warm quilt.

snowflake

It's Santa Claus

A gift for us.

I wish every child health and happiness.

kite

Fly, fly, fly.

A tall kite

Fly with birds

Can it take my words to the bird?

Who am I?

Mother said

I am her lovely little cotton-padded jacket,

Father said

I'm his little princess,

Grandma said

I'm her baby,

Father said

I'm his dear sweetheart,

(expressing surprise, shock, etc.)

Who am I?

adult

The teacher asked us

What do you want to be when you grow up

(expressing surprise, shock, etc.)

I want to be an adult.

Because adults can do many things that my mother won't let me do.
