Sitong Tan

Finally, high clouds were gathering in the city, and the autumn wind blew away the sound of hooves.

The river is still too wild, and it is not smooth to enter Tongguan Mountain.

Translation:

Since ancient times, there have been high clouds gathering on the Xiongguan, and the autumn wind will always blow away the sound of horseshoes.

There are too many restrictions on the swift Yellow River and the vast vilen, so I don't know what Tan Ping is after entering Tongguan from Huashan.

Main idea

The author of Tongguan Seven-character quatrains is Tan Sitong, a revolutionary and poet in the late Qing Dynasty. The author passed through Tongguan and was deeply attracted by the magnificent scenery in front of him. He wrote this hymn in good faith.
