Psalm 26

Psalm 26

Vend my cause, O LORD,

for I have always behaved upright;

I trust The LORD does not waver.

O Lord, please look at me and test me.

Refine my heart and my heart.

Because your love is always before my eyes,

I will walk in your truth.

I have not sat with the liar,

nor with the deceiver.

I hate the assembly of the wicked,

I will not sit with the wicked.

O LORD, I will wash my hands and show my innocence,

before I surround your altar;

I will make a sound of thanksgiving,

and tell of all your wonderful works.

I love, O Lord, the house where you dwell

and the dwelling place of your glory.

Do not take away my soul with the sinners;

Do not take away my life with the blood.

Their hands are filled with evil,

Their right hands are full of bribes.

As for me, I must behave in a sound way;

Please redeem me and have mercy on me!

My feet stand on level ground;

I will praise the Lord in the midst of the assembly!

(Psalm 26:1-12 Union Version)

1. David clearly committed adultery with Uriah’s wife Bathsheba, and to cover up his sin, he Uriah's men were killed with the sword, but David said before God, "Venge me, O LORD, for my ways have always been sound; and I have trusted in the LORD and will not waver. Look at me, O LORD," , test me, because my ways have always been sound;” because David correctly discovered that he was originally a person born of sin, his body had been sold to sin, and he could only be a sinner. Therefore, David no longer followed his fleshly thoughts, but gave himself completely to God. God removed all his sins and made him a completely holy and righteous man. David stood in the grace of God and looked at himself. "For your lovingkindness remains before my eyes, and I walk according to your truth. ... But I will walk in integrity;"

2. We are the same people as David. People who are born from sin can only be sinners and people who suffer defeat. But God loved us and allowed His Son to bear our sins and be crucified on the cross, taking away all our sins and making us completely holy and righteous in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God , He loved me and gave himself up for me.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one sacrifice he has made eternally perfect those who are sanctified.

When we look at ourselves in God, we are people who behave in a sound manner. Although the devil has ideas to lead us and make us see our weaknesses and deficiencies, when we rely on the cross of Jesus for salvation, God has made us immovable. Thank God for His grace, which has always protected us. Glory to God.
