At the same time, we should also understand how the poet blends the emotional appeal of music with the feelings of the players and listeners.

Appreciation of Li Bai's Listening to Shu Monks Playing the Piano and the Feeling of Music Description

Mount Emei in the west, a monk in the middle of Shu, touched the string, and the breath of thousands of valleys was loose. Qingxi listened to him and wanted to enter the frost bell. Although the mountains were dark and unchanged, autumn clouds piled up.

Commentary: This song was written by Wu Lv listening to a monk named Rui playing the piano in Sichuan. The first two sentences are "a monk in the west Shu of Mount Emei, with a blue silk lute box." It shows that this pianist came down from Emei Mountain in Sichuan. "Luqi" was originally the name of a piano. In the Han Dynasty, the word Ma Xiangru had the name Luqi, which was used to refer to the precious piano. In just ten words, I wrote the musician's elegant demeanor and expressed the poet's admiration for him.

Three or four sentences positively describe the Shu monk playing the piano, and "swinging" is the action of playing the piano. "When I touch the strings, it brings me the breath of thousands of pines." These two sentences use the grandeur of the sound of nature to compare the sound of the piano, which makes people feel that the sound of the piano must be extremely powerful.

And "I listened to him in Qingxi" means that after listening to monk Shu playing the piano, his heart seemed to be washed by running water, carefree and happy. "I heard him in the cold bell" means that after the music is over, the reverberation will blend with the temple bell at dusk.

"I don't feel any change, although the mountains are getting dark and the sky is overcast in autumn." That is to say, the poet looked around after listening to monk Shu playing the piano. I don't know where to start. Castle Peak has been shrouded in dusk, and gloomy autumn clouds overlap to cover the sky. How time flies!

The uniqueness of Li Bai's poem in describing music is that there is no other metaphor to describe the sound of the piano except "Wan", but it focuses on the feelings when listening to the piano and the emotional communication between the player and the listener. In fact, the phrase "the breath of a thousand pines" is not a purely objective description. Poets associate piano sounds with the sounds of pines, mountains and valleys based on their own subjective feelings.

Rhyme pays attention to leveling, antithesis and strict meter. However, Li Bai's five laws are extremely fresh and lively, which seems to be effortless at all. In fact, no matter the conception, conception, knot, turn, or antithesis and allusion, it has been arranged skillfully, but there is no trace. This natural art of "clear water produces hibiscus, natural carving" is more touching than all sculptures.
