For a long time, the relationship between poetry and reality has been weakening, and the creation of many poets has gradually drifted away from social changes and real life. Re-examining and advocating poetry to return to reality is not to set rules and restrictions on poetry. No poet lives in a vacuum. A truly outstanding poet should shoulder the responsibility and morality, and his creation should be closely linked with this era. Real life provides us with endless treasures, and knowing reality means knowing yourself. We should not only understand its changes in habits and commonplace, but also explore the evolution of social forms, people's ideas and spiritual world with our hearts. Reality is not an empty and false concept, not a simple oil and salt sauce vinegar, but an important base for our life and spirit to extend outward. It is true that it is not easy to grasp the reality directly from the literary concept, and it needs precipitation and fermentation. But as far as poetry is concerned, it needs to intervene in reality in time and sensitively. On the basis of personal spiritual commitment, poets should study how to communicate with society and the times and find themselves in reality. This kind of communication and integration is the intervention in reality, and only with real intervention can there be real realistic writing. Poets can't be helpless in the face of reality and lose the ability to enter.

Material 2:
Why does poetry in the new century need realistic care and the spirit of the times? First of all, realistic concern and the spirit of the times are the responsibility and historical mission of the poet, as well as his spiritual pillar and source of belief. As a writing symbol with national characteristics, language itself is an important carrier to record the times and write the reality, and it is also an emotional bond for us to be close to the times and examine ourselves. It is closely related to the historical process of the nation and the characteristics of the times, and because of its distinctive and beautiful characteristics, it undertakes the mission of discovery, recording and leading. The ancients said that we should "stand for heaven and earth, stand for the people" and "write articles according to the times and write songs and poems according to things", which should also be the direction that our contemporary poetry should strive for. Secondly, realistic concern and the spirit of the times are the proper meaning and internal characteristics of excellent works, and also the practice field and source of materials for a work. The greatness of poetry lies in its complex and profound life experience and profound and eternal realistic concern, and in observing the times and reality, discovering and spreading the spirit of the times, noble personality and the beauty of life. In order to ensure our identity and the effectiveness of writing, we need to keep up with the pulse of the times and the contemporary reality to ensure its establishment and significance.
How can we consciously cultivate such realistic concern and spirit of the times? First of all, regarding the writing attitude and text position of poetry in the new century, I think that writing poetry is self-cultivation, and poets should cultivate the spiritual quality and responsibility of caring for the times and the people. Only by expressing and observing the times can poets expand the fullness of language space in contemporary time and space, and their works will have deeper realistic influence and a deeper sense of life. We should take the initiative to go deep into reality and people, and really measure the earth with our feet, instead of sitting alone in the study sketching our own imagination. Secondly, regarding the handling of the relationship between times and practical experience in poetry in the new century, I think poets should keep a "casual and alert" "gaze". The first half of this passage comes from Zhang Zao: "As a poet, the ideal state is to blend in with the crowd and stay alert inside." The second half of the sentence comes from many languages: "A poet should maintain a' staring' relationship, neither too compatible with his times nor too divorced." All this tells us that when dealing with the relationship with the times, we should not only go deep into the times and modernity, but also explore and observe the subtle differences, and at the same time, we should be able to jump out of it and look at the times from a distance. Only in this way can we maintain a prudent and sober cognition, complete the necessary aesthetic and ideological height of poetry writing, and write poems that cut into this era.
